JULY 13, 2022 — For the first time, Governor Angelina "Doktora Helen" Tan visits the province's premier science high school.

The lady governor inspected the school grounds and had a discussion with Dr. Carla Marie Carandang, the school's OIC-Directress. Dr. Carandang addressed her concerns as the return to face-to-face classes for the school year 2022-2023 is nearing.

Gov. Tan assured that such concerns will be addressed. Infrastructure and financial assistance were discussed as the Governor pointed out the unfinished construction sites at the campus such as the multipurpose building, gymnasium, the second dormitory building, and the science laboratory. The Governor promises that in the coming years, such facilities and subsidies from the provincial government will be of main concern.

The Governor vowed that she will find a way to renovate the dormitory and other facilities as soon as possible, so that students may use it for the upcoming classes. The Department of Education asserted in July 2022 that the shift to 100% face-to-face classes will be conducted in November.
